Robert McDougal, Minister of Education 

Robert  joined the Ministry Staff of First Baptist Church in 2007 as the  Minister of Education.  He has served churches throughout Texas and the Pacific Northwest for over 35 years.  He is a graduate of East Texas Baptist University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.  

One of primary responsibilities of a Minister of Education is that of a "change agent".  While change is often avoided by many, the Scriptures teach that we are to be constantly changing as we are confronted by the truths of the Word of God.  Romans 12:2 tells us that we are not to conform to this world but be 'transformed'.  As a result, he believes that Bible Study and Discipleship are foundational to the each believer as they are changed into a fully developing follower of Jesus.   He is looking forward to many years of ministry here at FBC.

Robert, and his wife Vickie, live in Groesbeck and have three children scattered throughout Texas and Florida.
