LIFE Connection Bible Study and Discipleship Groups One of our driving passions at First Baptist Church is to see people connect with a LIFE Connection Bible Study Group. One of the keys to the health of First Baptist Church is the strength of our small group ministry. LIFE Connections Bible Study Groups are the foundation for that ministry. We believe it is a win for you and a win for the church when you connect with a LIFE Connections Bible Study Group. What does LIFE stand for? L - Learning - How does the Bible apply to daily living? LIFE groups offer a small group to study the Bible using a variety of resources. I - Involvement - Involvement comes as a result of the ministry opportunities that are communicated through the LIFE group hub. We have ministry teams, missions opportunities, community-building times, etc. to which your LIFE group can help you connect. F - Friendship - Building relationships with other people is crucial to connecting at First Baptist Church. Your LIFE Connections Bible Study group will give you the opportunity to develop friendships with people that can last a life-time. You will be surprised how quickly your LIFE group becomes like a family. E - Encouragement - This is what Christians do for each other. When times are good, joy is doubled. When times are bad, the burden is shared. We believe small groups are biblical! Even in the church's earliest and purest form, small group meetings were the foundation. Acts 5:42 tells us that the people met 'in the temple courts and from house to house.' They ate together, prayed together, and experienced life together. They also suffered together, shared their relationships with Christ together, and most importantly, sought and worshipped God together. They were like-minded and like hearted. What an incredible picture! Christians walking and worshipping together! The door is wide open to each of our LIFE Connections Bible Study Groups. We want you to feel free to visit as many LIFE Groups as you want until you find the one that best meets your needs.
